WEDDING SNEAK PEAK
Our amazing wedding photographer Courtney Ward has been providing some pretty beautiful leaks of our wedding photos on her facebook page, and I'm dying to see the rest. Until then I'll be checking her page and blog like a crazy person. The whole day was such an amazing, loving, celebration of a blur - so I can't wait to see the big day from the cameras perspective!
She does such a good job of depicting a dreamy day - almost like she takes pictures of your emotions.. anyway, I'll stop with the sappy talk. I'll be back with more pictures in the upcoming weeks (cant wait!!).

Bohemian Woodland Wedding
I've got a true love for Bohemian / Woodland weddings. They always give off the feel of fairy tale to me, maybe it's got something to do with too much Disney movie's as a child, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White would definitely have a woodland wedding right? Especially with the adorable woodland creatures like owls, deer and bunnies hopping around. Then there's the crown of flowers the bride wears in her hair, kind of like the one you would make from daffodils when you were playing outside as a child. It's like living in a real life fairy tale, and isn't that what weddings are all about?
Here are some of my favorite Bohemian / Woodland weddings.
1. Julie + Bo's Wedding from Green Wedding Shoes
Favorite things about this wedding: The deer tapestry. Her veil. Her dress change for the reception and the reef of flowers she's wearing on her head. The mitmatched bridesmaid dresses that are a perfect balance of casual meets elegant.
2. Theresa and Jay's Wedding at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center
This wedding isn't as "Woodland" as the others, but the colors, natural green plants and horse mask (that my fiance has already made clear will not be in our nuptials) give it a very organic, free
bohemian" feel. My favorites from this wedding: the farm tables, the natural/ green flowers, the industrial architecture of the venue and the diy ceremony altar.
And here are some of my favorite elements from Boho-Woodland weddings:

Wedding Flower Homework: Rustic & Vintage Accents
I've made it to the next step in my wedding planning process, yes, you've guessed it! Flowers. I'm on the lookout for vendors so I figured it would be smart to start doing my homework. I absolutely love rustic and vintage wedding bouquets, but I had no clue what those little green and earthy looking accents were called. Luckily for you I did my homework, so hopefully you don't have to. These are some of my favorite bouquet accents, and the best part is that most of them are for all seasons so you don't have to worry about them wilting in your hot August wedding (like me...).
1. Aged Lotus Pods
I admit, at first glance these dark brown shell like plants look kind of creepy, but when mixed with a bunch of lush flowers, they create a hard/ soft combo that's a perfect vintage rustic pairing.
2. Dusty Miller
These grayish blue leaves couldn't be prettier, and their texture looks great against soft light colored flowers. I would love to have these in my bouquet or in the groomsmen boutineers (like below). They are almost exactly the shade of blue I want in our wedding, so it seem like it's meant to be if you ask me.
3. Scabiosa Pods
These pods are adorable, they almost look fuzzy to me, which I love because I want to our flowers to have a mixture of different textures. It also brings in the green accent while still being softer than other natural looking plants like the aged lotus pods.
4. Succulents
I love these things, I think they're so pretty, and I like the strange texture they seem to have, almost rubbery. I also think their pale greenish blueish color couldn't be more spot on for what I'd like at my wedding.

Until next time!

For all you slackers that didn't study for the test, here's a rustic/ vintage bouquet accent "cheat sheet." You're welcome!

High "Pinterestations" & Save The Dates
Dear Pinterest,
Please stop making me feel inadequate with your postings of "handmade" "diy" weddings. Yes. I get it. The bride was so savvy she sewed together one billion little baggies for sunflower seed favors and signed each of the bags with her font like perfect handwriting. Yes, I know this bride also has a full time job and raises a family of orphaned children on the side. But her life isn't hard like mine pinterest! She doesn't have to watch two seasons of Games of Thrones in a 48hr period! And she doesn't have to get distracted and scroll tumblr until she reaches the bottom of the internet. She ain't me pinterest. She ain't me....
Love,
A bride-to-be suffering from some seriously high "pinterestations" (high expectations brought about by too much time spent on pinterest)
In other news, here are some "Save The Date" Idea's worth saving...
1. I like this one because of the picture being placed within the letters, its modern but still very rustic because of the flower detail (Plus it has our initials... so that's pretty awesome).
2. I love the white space around the picture on this save the date, it gives enough space to have whatever you would like to above the picture as far as text and graphics.
3. I like their outfits, and the font is super cute. Plus the yellow detail, their yellow clothing, the fall leaves it goes together perfectly.
4. I love this one because their faces are partially cut off from the picture, that sounds weird.. there is probably some really smart graphic design or photography term for that... but whatever it is, I like it.
5. I like this because it makes me laugh, because this is pretty much my life right now.
Until next time!

Beaucoup de Bouquets
I need to hit the nail on the head for what I want as far as details in the wedding. I'm not completely positive about the decor or even the colors... but I think I've gotten pretty close to what I want when it comes to bouquets. My favorites are the ones with blush colored flowers and brown accents like feathers. I want them to be colorful without being too flashy.
Now on the search for more boho-rustic bouquets....

Boho. Rustic. Vintage.
Yes. That's three different styles, and yes that's exactly what I want.
A perfect mixture of rustic vintage with a bohemian twist. I was having a hard time explaining exactly what I wanted it to look like. I told Kevin that I wanted the wedding to look like it went with the things we like and the music that we listen to. He told me he got it. That I wanted the wedding to be like a song.
Knows me better than I know myself. I'm a lucky girl.
Now, for some boho, rustic, vintage inspiration...

Wedding Must Haves
Okay, so I guess you can't have everything you want. This is more of a wedding "love to have" list than a "must have" list...
1. Farm Tables: I love the idea of all of our close friends and family sharing a few long table instead of multiple small tables. It's like a huge family dinner. Love that.
2. String Lights: I've always felt like dancing under the stars and under string lights was for your first dance or reception was so romantic.
3. Our Music: I'm big on forcing friends and family to listen to what I call "Erica music." It's rarely top 20 and people usually try to stop me... but finally I get to share my favorite songs and bands with everyone I love against their will! (I'm totally kidding... sort of). And since Kevin and I both love to sit for hours finding new songs to listen to and new bands to love, I think it is our duty to not only have our DJ/ Musicians play our music but also give it to our friends and family as well. What a great idea for wedding favors! And the DIY aspect makes it that much more special.
4. DIY Touches: There seems to be a rise in DIY-brides lately... or maybe it's just pinterest making it look like everyone who gets married is a part time crafting genius. Either way, I think that creating things yourself for your wedding day is a great way to make the wedding feel more "you" while cutting cost on having someone else do it.
