SHELBY KEETON & FREE PEOPLE'S MOTHER'S DAY SHOOT

Free People's beautiful Mother's Day spread, featuring model Shelby Keeton and her ADORABLE (emphasis on adorable) son, is something straight from the pages of a fairy tale book. I can't get over how stunningly beautiful the shoot is.

I literally want every piece from the shoot. My favorite being the Ethereal Fairytale Dress, because who doesn't want to be the protagonist in a bohemian fairytale? Yeah, that's what I thought. Everyone does.

For more pictures from the gorgeous shoot, check out the Free People Blog

RAINY DAY INSPIRATION: BOHO LIVING ROOMS

A wise man once said "it does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live" - that wise man was Dumbledore (yes, my deepest quotes in life come from young adult literature) and he would be pretty disappointed in me right now cause the only thing saving me from this cloudy rainy hump day is dreaming about clean, organized, bohemian fresh little living rooms instead of cleaning and organizing mine (which is a mess by the way!).

I'll continue to dream on, feel free to join me. Lets get back to work cleaning when the sun gets back to shinning!

ON THAT NOTE: B.O.B. AND PANIC AT THE DISCO AT PANTHERPALOOZA

This past weekend I got the chance of a lifetime (in my humble opinion) to help my sisters with their entertainment media organization - Siege Magazine. I got to be closer to a stage than I've ever been in my entire life! Plus it lit a fire in me I haven't felt in a long time. So, I'm happy to share this post with you as a contributor to Siege Magazine and as a music lover! Presenting.. "On That Note" by Bolts & Arrows.

College. You remember it.

The first taste of freedom mixed with the first stings of responsibility. The ability to stay out as late as you want, while still having to make it to that 7:00am class (freshman mistake, right? Who the hell signs up for a 7:00am class).

But the good always outweighed the bad when it came to some things: miniature college towns stocked with cheap booze and happy hour specials, 'college discounts' to make up for the money you lost on your special order books that met the ever changing curriculum, and - if you're lucky-  a free or discounted concert featuring your favorite band, taking place in what is literally walking distance from your dormitory.

Tonight, the students of Georgia State University got to experience one of these positives of college life first hand; getting to see Panic at the Disco and B.O.B. in their very own backyard.

Beneath the faded lights of Georgia State Sports Arena, students pressed their chest up against metal barricade, reaching their arms out to Brendan Urie, the energetic sprightly lead singer of Panic at the Disco, as he returned their love with an energy saved for entertainers - showing them that the hours they had waited in line to see the show was worth it by jetting across the stage vivaciously and even supplying a well landed backflip, backdropped by the pleased outroar or the crowd. Dallon Weekes was apparently equipped to make fans go wild as well, licking his guitar pick before tossing it into the fervent crowd.

Not to be outdone, B.O.B. stormed the stage next,  springing into the crowd during the second song on his setlist, wild and ruling in his all white garb - eager to take in the energy of the multitude that had gathered beneath him. His gratuitous fans mouthed his every lyric in perfect synchronicity, even taking the stage to dance with him at one point. At one remarkable moment, TI took the stage to join B.O.B., bringing his hometown crowd to a screeching pitch, leaving it all on the floor. Students seemed more than content, an emotion rarely felt in college life hung throughout the room - satisfaction

Maybe it was the feeling of optimism that filled the room as throngs of young adults, barely out of teenage hood, danced and sang with no worry to what the 'real world' would one day bring. Maybe it was the light shown behind the men who had already done the unthinkable, dreamed huge dreams and made them be. But, whatever it was, tonight at Pantherpalooza the spirit was high and the night felt ripe for something amazing to start - and B.O.B. and Panic at the Disco did their part to make those dreams, star crossed as they may be, feel like they were possible.

FOR THE HOME: BEDROOM ESSENTIALS

Science confirms that a well decorated bedroom leads to a better quality of life. Kidding. I have no effing clue what scientist have to say about the benefits of chic living space, but if I were a scientist (which I'm not) I would say it's good for you! (I think I might be confusing being a doctor with being a scientist). So anyway, here are some of the elements I have, or plan on buying for our new bedroom. They bring together a perfect mixture of natural, modern and bohemian items, which is exactly what I'm going for! Shop the items below, and stay tuned to see how they look in our bedroom.

FOR THE HOME: BEDROOMS

Long time no talk. But I'm back people, and with a vengeance. (Sorry, that was intense). Anyway, I've been looking back on my resolutions and realized that this one, updating the blog, has definitely fell by the wayside, which is crazy since I have so much to share.

We've just moved in to a new place in Midtown, Atlanta!! It's in walking distance to the park (Piedmont to be specific), some of our favorite restaurants and my job. Definitely an upgrade (in my opinion) when it comes to style and location, but it's still a 'small space' as Apartment Therapy would say, which, once again in my opinion, makes decorating it extremely fun!

I can't wait to share our new place (I'm calling it the 'Hawks' nest...) on the blog, but for now I'd like to focus on bedrooms since we'll be heading to IKEA today to get a bed.

I really want something that feels relaxed, with wood tones, white and very eclectic and bohemian.

We'll definitely be leaning towards a platform bed because of the low A-Frame ceiling in our room.

I'd be happy to have our room look like any of these! Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with the bed we've chosen and a board of how we'll be decorating the room.

INSPIRED BY: WILDFOX 'BLUE LAGOON' LOOK BOOK

Brrr!! It's cold, and snowing in Atlanta (what??) so I've been mining the interweb for warm inspiration. I'm officially obsessed with Wildfox's latest lookbook, aptly titled 'The Wildfox Lagoon'. If you've ever seen the movie 'The Blue Lagoon' you know first hand the wanderlust natural flowing hair, sun kissed skin and ship wrecked style can inspire.

This lookbook makes me feel like I would totally be fine being shipwrecked, as long as I had a good hair brush and a flower crown.

WARM WISHES: FESTIVAL STYLE

It's below freezing here in Atlanta, which is pretty much unheard of. But instead of catching the winter blues, all I can do is day dream about the warm weather to come this spring: this amazing spring, that will bring music, fun and trips with friends - you guessed it, it's music festival season!

It's my favorite time of year, for obvious reasons. I love live music and I love fashion, and everything goes at a festival environment, it's the ultimate place to experiment with clothes and accessories you could never wear anywhere else. So, while I'm indoors warming up under a blanket as I write this post, I'm letting my mind wander to warmer days, and I'm shopping for three distinct festival looks, that fortunately, you can shop below!

1. Laid Back Babe

2. Femme and Festive

3. Rocker Chic

What's your favorite look, and do you plan on attending any festivals this year?

Stay warm loves!
