Bohemian Woodland Wedding

I've got a true love for Bohemian / Woodland weddings. They always give off the feel of fairy tale to me, maybe it's got something to do with too much Disney movie's as a child, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White would definitely have a woodland wedding right? Especially with the adorable woodland creatures like owls, deer and bunnies hopping around. Then there's the crown of flowers the bride wears in her hair, kind of like the one you would make from daffodils when you were playing outside as a child. It's like living in a real life fairy tale, and isn't that what weddings are all about?

Here are some of my favorite Bohemian / Woodland weddings.

1. Julie + Bo's Wedding from Green Wedding Shoes

Favorite things about this wedding: The deer tapestry. Her veil. Her dress change for the reception and the reef of flowers she's wearing on her head. The mitmatched bridesmaid dresses that are a perfect balance of casual meets elegant.

2. Theresa and Jay's Wedding at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

This wedding isn't as "Woodland" as the others, but the colors, natural green plants and horse mask (that my fiance has already made clear will not be in our nuptials) give it a very organic, free
bohemian" feel. My favorites from this wedding: the farm tables, the natural/ green flowers, the industrial architecture of the venue and the diy ceremony altar.

Mix & Match : Bridesmaid Dresses

I absolutely freaking love when bridesmaids wear the same but different outfits! You know like the same color story but different shapes and designs. I'm lucky that all of my bridesmaids have impeccable style and won't have trouble finding great dresses that meet the color scheme... not that they are fully aware of the fact that they'll be picking their own dresses.. with my guidance and slight supervision. Also, my sister happens to be an expert in the realm of fashion merchandizing and such. So here are some ideas of what I'd like for the dresses to look.

Hopefully this is a good place to start. Until next time.

Pretty Inspiring

It's February, which means we're 205 days away from the big day. There is so much to do, book and plan before August, not to mention that work and life have to be dealt with as well. Thankfully, looking at and blogging pretty inspiring things for our wedding is always a nice break from the chaos that is life right now. So here's what I dug up on the web today:

Rustic Chic Wedding Attire: Love the light blue suit with blush flower boutonniere, and the lace dress. All of the wedding details in this rustic chic wedding are to die for, they can all be found here.

Lace One Sleeve Dress: How pretty is this lace number? Not to mention the gorgeous rustic vintage bouquet!

Bridesmaid Dresses: From the same wedding... I adore the neutral color of the bridesmaid dresses, especially since they are all different but go together seamlessly. Plus, you get a full view of that to die for lace dress. More details can be found here.

Rustic Bouquet: Another awesome bouquet find! This one has light blue and blush accents which I think would be perfect for our wedding. See more of this wedding here.
